About Devin Lavigne, AICP, LEED AP
Devin Lavigne, AICP, LEED AP, is a Principal and Cofounder of Houseal Lavigne Associates in Chicago. The firm specializes in urban design, land-use planning, site planning, land planning, land-use regulation, graphic illustration and development visualization, geographic information systems, and web development. Lavigne received his Bachelor of Science from the School of Urban and Regional Planning at Ryerson Polytechnic University in Toronto, Ontario. Regarded as one of the profession's top designers and graphic specialists, Lavigne's work has garnered national recognition. His presentations include Better Graphics, Better Plans at the American Planning Association's 2010 National Planning Conference, which ranked "best in show." At the 2008 National Planning Conference, Lavigne's SketchUp! portfolio was presented by Google to show planners how the software can be used by the profession. He currently co-teaches UP 426/Urban Design and Planning with Kai Tarum, who was his instructor at Ryerson.
