“Get A Job” Series, Session 2: How do I find an internship?
Thursday, November 3rd at 5pm in Temple Buell Hall room 225
Join us for the second event in the “Get A Job” series on Thursday, November 3rd This event will be a panel discussion with several current Planning at Illinois students who recently completed, or are still doing, internships. The session will be run like an interview, with participants responding to questions about how they found an internship and what they did, with time for Q&A from the audience.
Here’s who will be there to share internship insights:
- Kayla Baldwin (BAUSP ’23 and MUP ’24) worked as a Community Development Intern for Power Construction this past summer and has continued the internship this semester.
- Briana Barr (MUP ’23) interned with Hoyle Consulting last spring and summer working on the Urbana Bicycle Master Plan.
- Lanie Hannon (BAUSP ’23) worked as a Community Development Planning Intern for the Village of Downers Grove over the past summer.
- Siddehesh Kudale (MUP ’23) interned with the Tri-county region of Illinois including Peoria, Tazewell, and Woodford counties, and in the East-west gateway region of St. Charles, Missouri.
- Caelin Muniz (BAUSP ’23) interned at the nonprofit North River Commission in the Albany Park neighborhood of Chicago this past summer.
- Roya Nassirpour (BAUP ’21 and MUP ’22) interned and worked as a Project Specialist II at the City of Champaign in the Planning and Development Department
- Emmy Smith (BAUSP ’23) interned this past summer with the Community Investments Division of the City of Indianapolis’ Department of Metropolitan Development.
- Alec Thomas (BAUSP ’23) interned with the Urbana Park District this past summer.
- David Wright (MUP ’23) worked as a graduate housing intern this past summer with the Corporation for Supportive Housing.
