Improving food systems through urban and regional planning: an introduction

From community food systems to major metropolitan food clusters, urban and regional planning play pivotal roles in providing the policies and infrastructure to create more sustainable food systems. Dr. Dailey will provide definitions for key concepts like food systems, sustainability, and complex adaptive systems. She will also provide simple and complex examples of planning barriers and benefits to innovative food systems designs.
