About Eric Van Buskirk, AICP
Biography
Eric Van Buskirk is Senior Planner for the City of Champaign. His primary responsibilities include land development review, long range planning, maintaining the Planning Department’s geospatial and land use data, and serving as the Historic Preservation Officer for the City. In addition, he is an Adjunct Lecturer in the Department of Urban and Regional Planning at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign teaching land use planning and urban design. Prior to working for the City of Champaign, he worked as a Planner for the City of Dubuque, Iowa.
Mr. Van Buskirk holds a Bachelor of Arts in Urban and Regional Planning and a Bachelor of Music in Oboe Performance from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
